International 2.4m data sheet

We have worked with sailors and coaches in the International 2.4m class since 2002 to produce an exceptional range of sails. A number of podium positions at international regattas in this Paralympic Class have been achieved in the meantime and Team GBR's representative at the 2004 Games won the selection trials with Banks sails and used them exclusively in the regatta in Athens.

Mainsail

Cut from 3.4oz "Mylar" or 3.8 Contender Polykote Ripstop "Dacron". Complete with leech tell-tales, battens, clew & tack sliders, cunningham, camber stripes, insignia, sail numbers and long sailbag. Polymex window at spreader height in Dacron sails.

Kevlar version of the above mainsail, cut in 2.9oz Contender "Smoke" Aramid fabric to save weight and reduce fabric stretch. Not as durable in heavy weather conditions.

Light Jib

Cut from lightweight 2.3oz SL500 Mylar fabric. Crosscut design complete with luff tell-tales, camber stripes, luff poppers and long sailbag.

All Purpose Jib

Cut from 3.4oz "Mylar" or 3.8 Contender Polykote Ripstop "Dacron". This is a flatter sail which will still outperform much of the opposition in light winds on flat water. Complete with luff tell-tales, camber stripes, luff poppers and long sailbag. Polymex window in Dacron sails.

Our jibs are all available as 100% or 95% designs. The 95% designs are fitted with leech battens and have extended roach at the bottom batten to give increased area downwind.

All Banks sails for the International 2.4m come with long sailbags reinforced with battens to make them easy to carry.
