Warsash Spring Series 2002: Race 6 With very strong winds forecast for Sunday 28th we headed out into the Solent to find the committee boat having trouble anchoring! 30 minutes before the scheduled start time we sailed upwind and registered over 30 knots of true breeze. When the committee postponed the start Dave Scanlan sensibly decided we should head in rather than risk damaging the boat. During the race the wind moderated to 25-28 knots with just the occasional gust to 30+ but by then we didn't care as we were enjoying a warming coffee in the Dog House Bar!
