Recent launchings
With new race boats regularly being launched
we are now flat out at the loft ensuring all of our customers
get their sails in time!
Alan Meredith has taken delivery of his new Dehler 39,
Quickbrew. The Dehler 39 is a true dual-purpose yacht,
but following the design's success on the continent we
are sure this will be one to watch on the race course
as Alan works her up during the summer. As the boat has
a rig which is virtually identical to the First 40.7,
we used our proven designs from this boat as a basis for
the 39. Quickbrew's inventory consists of a Checkmate
Kevlar Main, Light, Medium-Heavy and No.3 together with
a pair of Series 2000 spinnakers.
During initial sail trials Alan commented that he was
"very pleased with the boat and the sails look wonderful."
At the other end of the scale is the custom IRM 10.7m
raceboat Roaring Meg 2 of Tim Dixon and Jon Manley. She
was launched late last week just in time to head straight
off to Ford Cork Week! Her programme takes in Cowes and
the Commodores Cup after Cork and if the IRM 9m Quokka
is anything to go by, Roaring Meg 2 will be a 35-footer
that embarrasses many a much larger boat around the course!
Cruiser, Racer or One Off, you can rest assured that Banks
Sails have the answer.
