Our latest Mainsail on Celavie

Celavie's new No.2 Genoa

X-332 sails

Following on from Exhibitionist's great win in the Warsash Spring Series we have not been resting on our laurels as far as sails for the X-332 go. Our success in the Class has prompted numerous new orders this year and having recently completed a new Checkmate Kevlar Mainsail and No.2 for Roger Lean's Celavie in Contender AK Smoke fabric we are currently working on a Checkmate Kevlar Sport Main for Dogmatix as well as a Checkmate Kevlar Sport Light/Medium No.1 for Hoodlum.

The top picture shows our latest Mainsail design in action aboard Celavie (right). Very careful attention has been paid to ensure the luff curve of the sail matches the mast and therefore allows smooth, progressive de-powering as the wind increases. The lower photo shows Celavie's new No.2 Genoa. At 140% this is a fairly large sail that was designed to fill what Roger recognised as a weakness in his inventory. It is optimised for beating in 14-20 knots true although it should also prove particularly effective for reaching on coastal type courses.
